You can travel to Coffman Cove by; ferrying with the Alaska Marine Hi-way from Bellingham Washington or Prince Rupert Canada with connections in Ketchikan Alaska on the Inter Island Authority (IFA) into Hollis or you may connect in Wrangell or Petersburg and take the Rainforest Islands Ferry directly to Coffman Cove. If you are traveling on either of the above Ferries with your own vehicle there are maps available of Prince of Wales Island Road System showing the road between Coffman Cove and Hollis. If you need transportation from the Hollis Ferry to Coffman Cove you can contact Island Ride at 907-201-1414. Flying with Alaska Airlines into Ketchikan, you can make a connection with one of the float plane businesses and fly directly into Coffman Cove. Alaska Airlines also fly’s into Wrangell Alaska. From Wrangell you can charter a float plane, ride the Rainforest Islands Ferry or take Breakaway Adventures water taxi service into Coffman Cove.

Recreational fishing along shore, and in nearby streams is excellent. Luck Lake offers a nice beach for camping with an amazing surrounding for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, along with prime trout fishing. Eagle Creek, Luck Creek, and Log Jam Creek produce exciting stream fishing for tourists. Sweetwater Lake provides a fun adventure by kayak, canoe, or small boat through a lagoon that leads into Barnes Lake. Forest Service cabins are available for overnight paddlers at both lakes. Tour the Honker Divide canoe trail through peaceful radiant land. We have an accommodating board walk that leads to Hatchery Creek Falls, with breathtaking views of Mother Nature.
